Casstel Pipeline Protection And Monitoring

The system is designed to provide pipeline managers in a centralized control room, the ability to efficiently and effectively monitor and control pipeline operations in real time. It provides them with information about abnormal operational changes, occurrence and localization of leakage and/or ground movements, whilst generating alarms and status reports. Casstel pipeline monitoring solution automatically detects, locates and classifies noises and vibrations that occur within the vicinity of the buried cables. It can detect and distinguish among leaks, tampering, intrusions, digging, machinery or vehicles operating nearby and more. Its extreme sensitivity helps pipeline operators prevent illegal tapping, intrusions and leaks that are undetectable by conventional flow metering.
The system includes the following main technical characteristics and components

• Double functional, Tribo and Vibro sensor cable deployment along the pipeline for real  time control of activities around the perimeter of the pipelines
•  Field and Sub station instrumentation for quantitative measurements and control
• Radio, satellite, fiberoptic or cellular communication network for acquiring field data,  which is fed to the CASSTEL alarm  management control station. This enables the managers to view current or historical data, alarm messages, and issue controls to field equipment.
• On-line Analyzers for petroleum products quality determination and control.
